Victoria

Hi!  I’m Vicki – the Victoria of victoria louise photography.  By day I am a teacher who loves to find interesting ways to get my students to love history and learning as much as I do.  In my off time I am an occasional traveler, avid reader, internet junkie, perpetual student, and perhaps most importantly photographer.  I love my husband, my dog, being an aunt, ben & jerry’s ice cream, bright colors, and office supplies (my students can vouch for my binder addiction!).

Since I found my way into Mr. Murray’s senior photography class in high school, I have never been without my trusty camera.  I love to capture life as it unfolds and find the beauty in all life has to offer, whether it is a dusting of snow, a newly blooming flower, a long forgotten object, a loving family, and a newborn’s sleepy sweetness.

What is natural light photography you ask?  It’s exactly as it sounds.  I work with the light that is available without the assistance of a flash.  Not to say that I won’t always show up sans flash, but 99% of my work is without one.  I love using what nature provides.  If we’re working indoors, when I get to your home, expect me to wander around looking for the room with the best light – opening blinds, closing them, and generally trying to determine the best site to use.  Once we find the best light source, please don’t be offended if I move a few things to create a better backdrop!  I want you to have the best images possible.
