The R. Family

August 24, 2010

Before I left to head down to the farm for my birthday weekend, I met up with the gorgeous R. family.  It was a beautiful summer morning.  I’m holding on tightly to the beautiful summer mornings we have left.  The back to work countdown has officially begun.

She is a beautiful woman, inside and out.

Adorable family.

Thanks for letting me hand out with you R. family!

This morning dawned bright and chilly!  Seriously, Mr. Weatherman if you’re listening, it’s not quite time for fall, okay?  Yes, I’m fully aware that in March if a morning is in the 50s I will go to work in capris.

G. braved the chilly temps to meet me for his senior photos, isn’t he handsome?  G, thank for wandering around the park with me!  Have a great senior year!

I think it’s safe to say that my life would not be the same without this fabulous woman in it. We became friends when we worked together at a place that came with a fair share of challenges. We bonded over a mutual passion for photography and cemented a lifelong friendship. She is one of the sweetest, funniest, best people I know. Soon Ms. Ann Hollis of will become one of the best mommies that I know. I can’t wait to meet her little surprise baby. Boy or Girl…?

Last fall was an interesting time for me. I had a master’s degree in Literacy and a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Studies and still couldn’t find a permanent job. I’m a pretty ambitious person and decided that the best way to get a teaching job would be to go back for a second master’s degree. So, I found myself driving 1.5 hours each way to SUNY Potsdam four nights a week. In the meantime I landed the PERFECT job teaching 8th grade Social Studies at my Alma Mater, but couldn’t stop taking classes in the middle of the semester. Needless to say, I was a little (okay, a lot) stressed out with no time on my hands. Instead of making healthy, homemade dinners, I turned to Mc.Donalds for a quick fix. The little fixes added up quickly and my pants no longer fit.

In January, a group of friends decided that they were going to start running, with the intention of running the Utica Boilermaker 15k in July. I watched with awe as they racked up the miles, secretly wishing that I had the ability to join them. On a whim, I decided to sign up for the Watertown Shamrock Run 5 Miler in March. I didn’t die, so I set my sights towards the Boilermaker. Um, it’s 9.3 miles! Gah! I used the Couch to 5k running program and gradually built up my endurance.

Today was race day. I was amazed! My goal was to finish in under 2 hours. I came in at 1 hour 44 minutes and 40 seconds according to my Garmin. This race was nothing short of an experience. The crowd lined almost the entire course, handing out encouragement, water, ice, popsicles, and a cool off hose down. It ended at the Saranac Brewing Company where the drinks ran free. What more could a girl ask for?

And, since it wouldn’t be a photoblog post without a photo…here we are in all our post race glory.

Last week I had the opportunity to meet sweet baby K and hang out with his beautiful mommy. It was so hard narrowing this down to my favorites!

Thanks for letting me hang out with you R family!

Tommy and Bobby: Married

April 26, 2010

Road trip weekend! Matt and I spent the weekend riding in a car together and made it back still married. For those that don’t know us, spending 12 hours a time together crammed into a car, with no disagreements is a major feat! Yay! This weekend’s trip was to Huntington, West Virginia to see my brother and new sister in law get married. Aren’t they cute?

What a nice looking family, although…aren’t we missing someone?

Look at those two wild and crazy guys on the end. They sure know how to let loose! :)

Welcome to the family Bobby. Thanks for letting us share in your big day!

Maple Medley

March 21, 2010

I can’t believe E and H are 6 months old already!  Happy Half Birthday!

I love him.

I ruined high fives for him this weekend.  He learned up high, down low, TOO SLOW!

The liquid gold comes out here.

The matriarch.  I’m pretty sure I’m going to get disowned for this one.

A Merry McCullouch Christmas

January 10, 2010

I don’t know why family pictures are the hardest for me to shoot, edit, and post; but they are.  Whether it is simple family christmas photos or a full out photo session, these are the ones that stump me the most.  Anyway, we had a great holiday with both families, enjoy the photos of three of my favorite people!

Santa brought us a Hudson!

He was kind of over it by this point…

So was Elle, she already is sick of the auntarazzi!

This is a gift I’ll gladly take home!

Storm and his daddy got father and son tape measures.  Something tells me that it won’t be Storm keeping the little one.

“Which should I open now?”

Hope you all had a fabulous holiday.
